This was another great weekend for me. While playing with my grand kids in the back yard I received a phone call from someone who could not find an agent to show them a home. Of course I took half an hour out of my week end and showed them the house. Next I took another half hour out to WRITE AN OFFER. Sunday morning I was at the driving range punishing a bucket of balls and another person called to see if there was any way I could show them a cottage. Of course I left the course and showed them the cottage. Not what they were looking for but we have an appointment next week end to show them a few I have picked out. I absolutely love agents that turn their phone off Friday night and won't pick up till Monday morning. I get about 20 sales a year from people that can't reach them. All of my advertising says "Yes...I work Weekends!" and it amazes me how many calls it produces. Both of these people took a combined total of about 4 hours out of a two day weekend. Sounds like a good trade. Have a great week end and best of luck in all you do. Thanks for reading.

Good for you...People who wants to work-work.
Have a great day Randy!
Congrats on the success! I am also one of those agents that rarely turns my phone off. It has definitely helped business. I like your idea of marketing "I work weekends", might have to borrow that. :)
Randy:
You make an excellent point. I've taken seminars/webinars where a "Successful Agent" will immediately let a prospective client know he or she is not available at the drop of a hat in order to show his/her own importance to the world. I especially like the ones who say they never show after 5 pm or on the weekend! (No, but their assistants have to. . .)
We're in a service business and we're in a tough economy -- that means our fudiciary responsibility as the listing agent includes getting as much exposure as possible. Without those listings to show, where would we be?
I love the idea of your tag line -- way to go!
Randy, you must not be an avid golfer. Some golfers I know would turn down a sex offer to finish the round of golf. :-)
I'm not a golfer, so I wouldn't turn it down.
Randy, thanks for sharing your post with us. You were able to get some business accomplished along with relaxation over the weekend. You found a balance of time. Every ones personal situation is different, but whatever works, as there should always be a point of contentment.
