Playing Nice With Each Other
When we were young we were taught to play nice together. Somewhere between then and now some of us have forgotten our lessons. I honestly feel like every real estate company I deal with are co-workers and treat them like such. I have no problem showing my listings for another agent if they have the buyer as my main goal is to sell my listings. Some want to make sure if the commissions are divided so should the work be but in reality we are all in this together and I don't mind helping out the competition. Maybe I am just blessed with a great community that makes everyone want to work together. Everyone knows an agent...you know, that "one" that makes it so hard to work with you want to wait until they are on vacation to put the offer in. They are only hurting themselves and their business. If you are good to other agencies and they like working with you it can only help your bottom line as well. There are all sorts of ways to help each other. Last week I showed a house that only had a couple listing pics. Turns out there was a renter when it was listed and it was pretty dirty. When I was there I went ahead and took a few pics for my client and shared them with the list agent. Didn't take ten minutes and I was already there so why not help if I can. Or maybe you notice the listing agents sign was knocked over by the plow trucks. Again a couple minutes makes for better working relations. Keep in mind the more fellow agents like working with you the more likely your phone is to ring and while we all work for different companies and are competition we are in this together and really should play nice.

Randy- Such a good reminder. You get what you put into this world. Treat others kindly and with respect and chances are it will be reciprocated.
Randy, You have a great attitude and working together nets great results! More agents could learn from that! Nice post!
Randy, It all goes back to treating your brother/sister like you would like to be treated; doesn't it! I often email agents when I see MLS mistakes such as wrong school district. I do it because I would want someone to do the same for me if I get something wrong in MLS.
Randy,
Treat everyone fairly and honestly, you dont have to remember who you cheated or lied too. Makes life easier that way. Thanks for the reminder.
