Who cleans up the Internet?
In a perfect world when a listing is expired or sold everyone who had that listing on the internet would update it or remove it as necessary but here in the real world we are all too busy taking care of current business to remember sweeping up after ourselves. It would be nice if there was a group of people dedicated to cleaning up old, outdated and erroneous information out here on the information highway. I have had calls from clients who have found my listings at several different prices online. Some where expired listings on other websites, some were well intending fellow agents who just didn't update price changes and some were just search engine cached pages that I don't even know how to remove. I think we should all take a few minutes and look over our sites and try and do our part to eliminating the outdated and incorrect listings. It isn't the answer but it is at least a step in the right direction and who knows it may start a new trend where we are all more responsible for the info we have out there. We are all in this together so let's work together to clean up our mess.
