Celebrating their 23rd year the WAM 300 (Wish-A-Mile 300) is a fund raising event that last year raised over $1.5 Million which was enough to grant 250 wishes to deserving wish kids here in Michigan. What a great way to help. This years event will be held the 22nd-25th of July. The Mecosta COunty Vistors Bureau defines it as a three-day, 300-mile bicycle ride to raise funds and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Michigan. There is also a new WAM 50 which is a 50 mile, one day event for those limited on time.
WAM has a great website for both more info and registering to ride @ WAM300. Their website has several options for everyone to reach out and make this a truly rememberable event. If you can't ride, donate. If you can't donate, volunteer. Giving to those in need always feels good but knowing you helped a child is a feeling unlike any other.
