Rise and Shine at Cran-Hill Ranch...WOW!
This morning the Mecosta County Area Chamber of Commerce Rise and Shine was held at Cran-Hill Ranch just east of Big Rapids near Rodney, MI. Our host, Scott Barger, gave us a detailed description of Cran-Hill and introduced us to his staff as well as offering a guided tour to those who hadn't been there. I was completely amazed by the number of activities I had no idea existed out there. Cran-Hill Ranch is devoted to being a ministry through which God is transforming lives into the image of Christ through Youth Camps, Family Camping, Retreats and Adventure Experiences.
Pony and Trail rides along with wagon rides, a huge climbing wall, tubing, boating, swimming fit perfectly into the wooded surroundings. They also feature a skate park, playgrounds, basketball, volleyball, ball diamonds for the sports fans and even sledding, x country skiing and snow shoeing for those wanting to try winter sports. There is a game room along with a camp store and picnic shelters as well.

They have plenty of room to stay with the newly added Saddle Ridge inclusive cabins which add a sleeping capacity of 180 people. Each cabin sleeps 36 plus 2 leader rooms and a meeting room with fireplace and kitchenette. Each meeting room seats 65 people. The Saddle Ridge Cabins also give your group access to the 300 seat outdoor pavilion and newly constructed tubing hill. The lodge itself is also huge with a sleeping capacity of 60 people. There are also group cottages and rustic retreats available.

There is too much to post in one blog and have it short enough to read. Cran-Hill needs to be experienced first hand and being in mid Michigan you are within a few hours from about anywhere in Michigan. Maybe an hour from Grand Rapids and only 3.5 hrs from Detroit so getting there is easy. Their website is a wealth of information and can be found at the following link: Cran-Hill Ranch.
If you need directions give me a call and I will guide you in. This is a must do for any family or group looking for the ultimate adventure.
As always if you think the Big Rapids area is a place you would like to live give us a call (231) 796-5253 or check out either link below and we will help you find a house so the Big Rapids area can be your home too. Thanks for reading.
