When I received a call on a listing this weekend I was all sorts of happy....until it slowly unfolded and I heard what Paul Harvey refers to as "The Rest of the Story". The caller was asking for info on a cottage on a nearby lake and as always, I asked if they were working with anyone. Kinda, was not the response I was hoping for. Even better was when they explained that their agent said building and maintaining a website was way too time consuming so he referred them to my site with instructions to find something they liked and call him back. Hmmm. It gets better. I said if they were working with someone already they should be contacting that person with questions and....ready?....their agent doesn't work weekends so they were hoping to get as much info as possible while waiting for him. I did give them the info they were looking for and told them to let their agent know I was glad his clients found my website so useful. It was pretty tempting to sway them but I keep thinking about a friend who once told me that Integrity is what we do when no one is looking. This has happened far too many times throughout the years and while my primary motivation is to help people find homes I had hoped to be compensated for it. Enjoy my website and thanks for reading.
