Another "To Do" if you are in the Big Rapids Area is to try some golf at Katke Golf Course right behind the 
Holiday Inn on Perry St in Big Rapids, MI. They have an awesome driving range for those just wanting to hit a bucket of balls and I can tell you from experience if you want to take your game to the next level chat with the golf Pro Aaron Waltz. There are very few people I meet that will ever make into a blog but Aaron is one of a kind. I had a Realtor Golf outing coming up and having never played golf before I thought I would try the range. After scaring everyone in the immediate area I decided a golf lesson might help. I contacted Aaron and we agreed to meet next morning. He set up his video recorders and just watched for a few while I hacked a few golf balls and then told me how far off my posture was and how to correct it. He then tweaked me over the next hour or so till I had at least the posture right. When he played back my two videos side by side I noticed two things. First, how overweight I looked in the videos and second what an improvement in just an hour. I practiced for a week before making another appointment. By now I was hitting the driver decent but he forced me to use my irons as that is where most of the game is played. Long story short after only two appointments with Aaron and at 52 years old I hit a 253 yard drive and came in second in the long drive contest for our outing. He didn't make me Tiger Woods but I am no longer too embarrassed to play in outings. I had my second outing last week and we even used a few of my iron shots. So whether you are a beginner or just wanting to improve your game give Aaron a call and he will definitely help you drop a few strokes off your score. Make it on a Tuesday or Thursday morning and you will probably see me there. Don't be scared I have improved. lol. Best of luck in all you do.
